Chastity Cages

A chastity cage is a device worn over the penis and locked to a ring behind the testicles, so that the wearer cannot get a full erection or touch themselves. It is used in consensual power-exchange play, where a partner – the keyholder – controls the key.

What to compare

• Material: rigid metal or plastic, or softer flexible cages
• Ring sizes included: more sizes make a good fit easier
• Cage length and internal diameter
• Ventilation and an open tip for hygiene
• The lock: padlock, built-in lock or numbered plastic tags

How do I find my size?

For the ring, measure the circumference behind the testicles and divide by 3.14 to get the diameter. For the cage, measure the flaccid length and choose a cage the same length or slightly shorter. The fit should be snug without pinching.

Wearing a cage safely

Start with short periods and build up. Remove the cage straight away if there is pain, numbness, swelling or a change of colour, and keep a spare key within reach at all times. Wash daily during wear and dry thoroughly. Agree limits, duration and how to stop before you begin.
